We offer an Earth Whisper Training at the New Mexico Ranch where land regeneration is a focus.
Volunteers can help for a weekend or summer. Graduates of our Earth training sessions may want to continue
their training by joining our volunteer programs in New Mexico.
Teenagers and college students are especially inspired with our Earth Whisper ways. Earth Whisper training brings out the qualities of leadership with its unique awareness and listening practices. We encourage our volunteers to unleash their creativity and find their passion. When a volunteer comes to the Ranch expecting to get wet and knowing they will get dirty, they also discover they possess extraordinary senses in themselves to find water beneath the ground or "hear' the wind, horses and birds from a great distance using forgotten subtle senses.
Our training is called the "Earth Whisper way". Our volunteers build swales, create compost teas, construct exclosures, make structures for wildlife and plant, weed and seed. Earth Whisper volunteers also help build Earth Circles as an energetic gift that gives life to the land and keeps on giving for years to come. Volunteers may discover fresh animal tracks, experience birds as they fly up or realize all the ways their Earth Regeneration Solutions are actually bringing life to the land due to their own efforts.

This summer begins a volunteer program at a stunning 4700 acre New Mexico Ranch. Supported by our Land Regeneration Know-How, our summer focus will be on re-building the biodiversity of the Ranch.
Supported by the extraordinary land regeneration
know-how of Gary Freeborg, we will be building swales and burying logs and
brush. We cover our logs with a Magnesium Oxide (MgO)/rock dust mix and then
bury them deep into the ground. As the logs dey, the remaining structure
invites soil, air and water penetration for generations into the future. We
also make spillways mixed with wood chips, soil, minerals and MgO which allow
for root entry while limiting erosion. We create large piles of brush as well
and push them deep into the Earth. The effect invites the soil-digging effect
of animals and insects to join in. We want earthworms, opossums and foxes
digging holes as part of any regeneration solution--in fact, any natural event
that can move the dirt to invite more oxygen and water into the soil is
welcomed.
