Housing

The Foundation has interest in integrating low-cost, sustainable building materials with creative architectural designs for a new way of living. We support projects in which diverse architectural designs for various "Earthome" models can be developed within a pedestrian-first community, self-sufficient in low-cost energy, clean water, 100% waste recycling, vehicle fuel production, food and other life enrichment systems. The Foundation supports projects with promise of reducing the cost of housing to $2.00 a square foot. An example of employing low-cost materials in this 2,030 square foot waste conversion demonstration home, developed by an inventor not associated with the Foundation, was developed largely from municipal solid waste, and delivered complete with electric and plumbing for $12,500.
